The Usyk stands as a gold medal winner, triple undisputed world champion and undefeated in twenty-four professional bouts.

Oleksandr Usyk states he plans to keep boxing for two more years and aims to fight again in 2026, but has excluded a fight with UK boxer Moses Itauma.

Usyk, thirty-eight, beat Daniel Dubois at the London venue in July to achieve status as a double undisputed heavyweight champion.

The Ukrainian, who had once owned every recognized world titles at the cruiserweight division, had earlier suggested that he'd only box just one more time before retiring.

But, the pound-for-pound fighter appears to have reversed that plan.

"I'll fight until I reach 41," Usyk stated on the R2F website. "Then I will establish a boxing school - I'll train there and teach others."

The champion mentioned he is back to the gym after taking time off due to a injury which forced the delay of a bout with World Boxing Organization required opponent Joseph Parker.

Usyk continued that, "Hopefully", he plans to fight in the coming year but excluded young boxer from Chatham Itauma as a possible rival.

"No, I will not box Itauma," Usyk said. "He's a young man - constantly joking with me. He also mentioned personally he won't strike veterans."

"It's impossible to tell who specifically [{I'll fight next|I will face next|my next bout will be against] since negotiations are ongoing. I'd be lying if I provided a name."

Itauma improved his undefeated streak to thirteen victories, with 11 knockouts, by defeating former world title challenger Dillian Whyte within 120 seconds in August.

World Boxing Association has instructed its secondary champion Kubrat Pulev to fight Itauma as his next opponent, but the fighter from Bulgaria is interested to protect his title against Murat Gassiev in Dubai in December.
